When it comes to intermodal transport, there are a few things that are good to keep in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enter full addresses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When making your reservation, be careful to enter complete addresses for loading and unloading as well as contact persons, opening hours and desired delivery time. Also state the type of goods, number of packages, weight, volume and format. A good specification gives us the conditions to manage your transport quickly and smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notify if you have dangerous goods<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you are transporting dangerous goods, inform us when you make your booking of the amount of goods involved and the UN numbers that are in the shipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mark with the correct label<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure your goods are marked with the correct label based on the mode of transport to be used. It is also a good idea to mark the goods with the address and number of parcels included in the shipment directly on the packaging. It facilitates a smooth delivery even if a label should fall off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Package well<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensure that the packaging is sufficient to keep the goods intact and in place throughout transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Keep an eye on the product insurance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are certain limitations in the liability of the carrier. Calculate length x width x height = kbm. 1 kbm = 280 kg<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Podium place (ppl)<\/strong><br>A pallet space dimension is: length 120 cm x width 80 cm and can be loaded with 780 kg. This applies to pallets that cannot be combined. 1 ppl = 780 kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flat meter (flm)<\/strong><br>When transporting difficult-to-stow goods, calculate the area of the goods based on the number of pallet meters. A flat meter (1 flm) is 1 x 2.5 meters x the full height of the cargo space. To obtain the number of flat meters, calculate the length x width x 0.4. Example: A pallet has the dimensions 1.2 m x 0.8 m x 0.4 m = 0.4 flm. 0.4 flm = 780 kg. 1 flm = 1950 kg.
